Course Overview

This masterclass introduces working professionals to the practical use of generative AI in modern marketing workflows. Participants will learn the fundamentals of generative AI, explore real-world marketing use cases, and gain hands-on experience creating marketing content based on a mock client brief. By the end, participants will have a foundational understanding of generative AI tools, common AI-powered marketing workflows, and the ability to produce a practical campaign plan and one campaign-ready visual aligned to a client objective.

Main Aims: The primary aim of this workshop is to equip working  professionals with knowledge about generative AI and its relevance in  marketing and business contexts. Attendees will gain hands-on experience using generative AI tools for ideation, content creation, and execution, while working from a realistic mock client brief. The workshop also introduces common AI workflows and ethical considerations, while fostering practical, outcome- driven thinking through a guided, project-based approach.

Introduction

Trainer shares background and examples of practical generative AI marketing projects and business use cases. Discussion with learners: introductions, current roles, familiarity with AI, expectations for the class, and how AI is currently used (or not yet used) in their work.

Image Generation

Work in pairs or small groups. Hands-on image generation exercise. Learners practice translating ideas from a mock client brief into clear visual prompts, generating and refining one campaign image aligned to audience, offer, and channel.

Ideation

Using ChatGPT, learners develop a structured campaign plan based on the mock client brief. This includes campaign objective, target audience, key message, channel selection, content angles, and sample ad copy.

Project completion

Refine the selected campaign visual using imagine.art and Nano Banana (background edits, consistency, clean-up). Finalise the campaign plan and ensure the campaign image aligns with the message and positioning.

Presentation & Discussion

Learners present their campaign plan and campaign visual. Group discussion and critique covering clarity of strategy, use of AI, workflow efficiency, and reflection on what should be automated versus what needs human judgment.
