Dauniika Maclean is a senior governance professional and Senior Partner at Independent Governance Services Ltd, New Zealand’s largest independent provider of board secretariat services. With extensive experience spanning listed companies, private sector, education, health, and not-for-profit organizations, she specializes in complex governance transitions, strategic board support, and leveraging technology and AI to enhance board effectiveness.
Her career highlights include serving as Company Secretary at Partners Life, Governance Manager at Whakarongorau Aotearoa (awarded Diligent Modern Governance 100), and founding Board Administration Services Ltd (merged with IGS in 2025).
She holds governance qualifications from the Institute of Directors and is a Chartered Member of IoD and Associate Member of the Chartered Governance Institute.
Dauniika is recognized for her pragmatic leadership, strong stakeholder relationships, and expertise in company secretariat functions across diverse sectors including insurance, health, and education. She currently serves on the Riverhead School Board and co-founded EA Inc.
